I don't know about anyone else, but I can stare at buildings all day long especially one as pretty as this one. Downtown Austin never disappoints.

How I love Austin... I hope you love it too.

Wasn't this guy just the cutest? (gal?) I hope it didn't eat that much of that cracker, it's definitely not good for it.

Changed into my flats before we took a capitol tour. Might have been better with the heels since the flats tore off the skin off my heels :(

These are by far the best pair of pants I have ever owned. I can't stop wearing them! (I'll share later.) They are cords so they're a tad bit on the warmer side, but we've had a few cold days so I've been able to wear them nonstop. Also, I might sneak them in until it's too hot outside given my office is super cold anyway...

Anyway, I went to Austin for spring break where these were taken. I was definitely overdressed than most people there, but I'm used to that. I just hope I had found these at the beginning of winter.

Yesterday, I had sort of an internal renewal with my goal of eating more healthy. Ever since the holidays, I had been eating bad on a more continuous basis, and I was starting to not like myself every time I put a bite in my mouth.

So yesterday, I watched a great movie at that reminded me the root reason why I felt so angry with myself when I ate more than one bad meal a day. I encourage anyone who can to watch this documentary and just listen to what they have to say.

So with my renewed energy, I went home and made some almond milk and fixed this amazing shake that was probably one of the few first reasons that made me realize that eating healthy doesn't mean eating unsavory food.

I have noticed that dairy and I just don't get along - even on the days I want to cheat. So I always make my own almond milk which is super easy to do too.

I drank it while I snacked on this homemade breakfast bar topped with homemade peanut butter and honey. Great snack; I promise. Since you do have to dehydrate the bar, I wouldn't expect many to do it. But the shake is so easy. A blender and five minutes can do wonders.

Enjoying the last days of layering here in Texas. Soon enough I will not be able to wear all that I'd like. And yes it's sad there was hardly any winter at all... (I think I've complained too much about that one already.)

So all the pants shopping I skipped on for the past couple of years has finally caught up with me. I bought these velvet pants and I fell in love with them. I'll wear them until it's just way to hot outside to stand them. I don't care.

Lately I've been layering way too much jewelry on me; definitely more is more these days.

I'm not sure why my lips came out so dark in the pics against the window. I'll need to research that.

This is the true color of the pants.

Just playing around with photoshop again...

So for one of my classes, I picked to do a design project about shoes. I don't think I've ever dealt with shoes for so long.

Anyway, here's two of the main images I took for one of the spreads I had to make.

Both of these pairs are so comfortable. I almost don't want to wear them so they will last even longer. Top Fossil; bottom Ivanka Trump.

Ever feel the consequences of stress but have no idea where it's coming from? I woke up with my back so screwed, I can't find a comfortable way to sit at all (and I sit in front of a desk all day!). I just hurts; no random spasms, just pain. The thing is, I'm pretty sure it's stress related. I've suffered from back pain for years now, so I've gotten pretty good at knowing where the spark lit.

So I know it's stress, but I don't know exactly where the stress is nesting. I did have a problem that came up on Friday, but it's been taken care of to the best of my ability. I'm thinking it's a chain reaction, but if not, I've no idea. And I just want the pain to stop.

Anyway, I love this jacket. I love it so much that I've worn it on and off even though the temperatures weren't so inviting. Funny as well, I've never been too much of a green person. I guess there's a time for everything.

I forgot to color correct these, so this green you see it's not exactly the real vibrant green I fell in love with. So I'll have to do a second take.

So I did it, I think i really did kill them. I thought I had read enough. I thought the people at home depot had given me all the wisdom I needed. I thought talking to them any chance I had (I really do talk to them a whole lot) would encourage their growth. I thought my love would fulfill them. But No!

I repotted them last night and I saw them more perky this morning. But I'm not sure if they'll make it. I just hope they do. I'll be so sad if they die. I would know that I killed them! (I never fill bad after killing a bug or fly or even the occasional squirrel when it's too late to swerve, but I genuinely feel way worse now. I failed at taking care of them, and now they're dying. )

I managed to take these pics before I noticed they were dying. I hope I wasn't too late. They're so beautiful.

It's definitely been crazy down here when it comes to the weather, so my outfits go from spring friendly to storm caution in less than an hour.

This happens to be the first pair of pants I buy in recent years - excluding jeans or leggins - actual pants. I had stashed in the back of my closet until the weather called for them, and I shouldn't have because they're super comfy. I've worn them a few times since.

I did doubt the picture above because my hair is a little more wild than my liking. If I could, I'd have straight hair or big soft curls - sort of Keri Russell's in the Americans (great show btw), but I just don't have the time. So this wild hair it is.

Anybody spot the Wii remote on the table? It's been in high demand lately since I can't stop watching The West Wing, House of Cards, and Alias. I'm alternating between all three so I'm not making real progress. But I'll get there.

I recently attended a show in Dallas at the MAC, and I couldn't have been more happy. Some of these paintings are scenes from New York, and I was blown away. I have visited NY, and I couldn't believe how absorbed I felt by the scenes. I truly felt I was standing in those streets, looking at those billboards, fighting that traffic.

The one above I"m not sure if it belongs to the same artist as the one with the NY paintings. The two below are definitely by someone else. I love the photograph.

I'd love to get my hands on that book!

I've been looking at these pictures a lot lately. There's just a high level of beauty when it comes to these old world architecture. These are all from San Antonio. I only got to visit two missions, and since I'm going back in March, I hope to visit some more.

I really like San Antonio, so I can't wait to go again!
