I'm sick; therefore, I keep dreaming of what I'd do if I wasn't, so all I can think about is wearing yellow (which actually I don't own one respectable piece of clothing in yellow. I have a couple of tees and that's it... such a shame).

At first, it started out with yellow sweaters (since right now, I'd love to be bundled up eating soup), but then I was just seeing yellow. So here's what I found, hopefully I'll feel this sunny sooner than later.

P.S. Elizabeth Olsen is slowly climing up my list of top women.

How awesome are these two-tone gloves?! The black and white leather (it looks like) combo is just perfect. I'm liking it more than the actual sweater.

I'm having a little trouble with time lately. It flies too fast, but it doesn't even leave a trace behind. It's as if I'm constantly reaching for that extra minute that will give me some leeway, but I can't find it, I can't reach it, and I definitely cannot see it.

I've gotten to the point where I have so much to do, I can't even think of where to start. I just want to close my eyes and fall asleep for a long time and wake up at the other end of things.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Mine was hectic and relaxing and sad and flat out uncomfortable, but overall it was a lot of fun. Tons of things to be thankful for... I try not to take things for granted.

However, after all of it I'm just exhausted! I can't seem to function properly today and I can't focus for too long. And my throat is a little off, almost dusty, so I feel funny when I talk. Yuk!

Well I'm still working on several projects, so I hope I have some decent time to sleep. I really need it.

Oh here's a couple of pictures I took just so that I'd have something pretty to look at while I'm completely brain dead.

I'm always attracted with pictures who cut the human form especially where there's emphasis on the neck. The neck is very important, to me, for some reason.

I'm in desperate need of a tripod so I can play around more.

I have to admit I'm still not fully over my lipstick obsession. These are the ones I keep in my purse at all times, and they don't seem enough.

BTW the lipstick farther out is not black, it's actually a very deep, deep shade of burgandy. And they are all Revlon, except the one in the middle which is Avon. I try to stick to pink/reddish shades and always in matte. Shimmery lipsticks tend to get on my nerves fast.

I've had a crappy day -- in a lazy, I don't want to do anything - kind of way. However, I am working on three different projects. The texture pieces of paper above will be for a collage, and the numbers I was trying out below are for the other two projects. grrr! (And I'd like to point out that my back is really hurting, and I can't sit too long without wishing I hadn't woken up today.)

BTW I took this picture the other day (flowers from my mom's garden), and it really makes me wish I had a bouquet in front of me.

It's getting cold down here. Yesterday was such a gloomy rained practically the whole day. Today is looking out to be pretty similar.

Anyway, these were taking on my way to work last Friday. I found the cape highly appropriate for a casual friday coat (I do coordinate my coats to my outfits).

Having to finally take out the coats has finally made me realize I must clean my close soon and fast. I might have to get rid of some stuff...darn!

(This one's my favorite!)

I'm seriously craving a new bed frame, and I haven't been able to stop thinking about these I found at Of course, I'm not sleeping well lately, but a new frame might help...

All of these have their own special touch, so I can't help but want all of them! Of course, I'd like to see them face to face, and although they have four stores, the closest one to Texas is in Florida.

But their store in Manhattan gives me an excuse to visit again, which I'm dying to do. NY has always been something you can't recreate (though I have to admit New Orleans reminded me of NY quite a bit at times).

Jill Mulleady's Paintings

Funny thing, and not really, but I can't seem to be able to go to sleep. So while browsing I found these by Jill Mulleady.

For someone who just started babbling with colors and paint and crayons and things alike, these seemed great inspiration. Now I just need to clear my head a little. Maybe sleep lol..

Anyway, I really feel I want one of these hung on somewhere I could see them everyday, so I might pick up a large canvas....

Kari Herer Photography

Found these at first through Shimmer Like Gold, and then I visited Kari Herer's page on etsy just to see more and I think it's pretty great. Makes me want to leave work and jump on the creative wagon.

Oh well I'll stare at this in the meantime...

All this cold weather has me thinking about white or pale dresses. Found these at what looked like a blog on the Russian Vogue Page - not quite sure because I didn't understand anything and I refused to translate the page lol.

I need this dress.

Winter's Light

It's Friday, yet I don't really feel like the week is ending or that I'm ready for the weekend. I feel really out of it, and I'm not sure why.

However, I am happy the wheather is back to its intended chilliness. And when it's stays cold consecutively I get a chance adapt, so the cold doesn't bother me much.

Oh and did I mention this time a year gives for such great lighting!

So the secret needs to be out: I'm a physho. But not the kind that would sneak up on you in the middle of the night only to stab you 30 times while you slept. Nope, that's not the kind.

Instead I'm a physcho worrier. I worry. All the time. And the problem is that when most of the time I can push whatever is worrying me to the back of my mind (Of course it is often revisted with a new so-thought solution), when I really worry I get a very deep, sinking pain in the pit of my stomack (like the one I have now) and I just can't concentrate on anything.

So what do I do? Wait. It works out best most of the time. But sometimes I feel so pressured by it that I have to push myself to do something or I feel I'll explode. So here I am giving myself therapy.

Fortunately, frantically browsing the internet in hopes of a distraction paid off. I found these two lovely pictures at Shimmer Like Gold. Krissy, the 23 year old behind it, is always so good at finding good pictures (something I fail at miserably).

The top one is perfect for the current mood. I really do want to just be there, sipping green tea out of the cup below (how cute??). And then just as I eat the last cookie (because I always have cookies when I drink tea), I would shut my eyes and see nothing. Blank. I want to just let go. If only.

Have to admit that whenever I draw or paint or collage things together things quiet down a little in my head, which is why sometimes I do little quick drawings of something that caught my eye.

The above one is this mornings - no bigger than 3 x 5". It's very far from good -- she's so skewed the poor thing!-- but I enjoy it.

Below is the in progress piece for my class.

Aren't flower crowns so much fun??

And this is not the girl I drew lol mine looks nothing like the original.

Doesn't he just look so sharp?? Scott, from The Sartorialist, has such great eye!

And is this room not almost too perfect? Almost because, although I'd love to have a room decorated like that I'd probably wouldn't make it the living room, and if I did, I'd change a few things around to make it a tad bit less...quirky? Not sure that's the adjective I'm looking for...

I just would add a couple of modern touches, that's all.

Still, both go together quite well. Now all he needs is to find a lucky girl. (I can't quite raise my hand if I'm married, can I?)

Pretty in Pink

Happy Monday! Well it's been a normal one so far, but you never know, I could end up with a black eye or forehead bump (I'm very clutsy, so it's highly possible).

Anyway, just suffering from hot weather - 85 degrees!! - and hoping class doesn't drag tonight. I'd really like to get my hands on an ice cream sneackers bar before then...too bad...

The fabrics below are from Ralph Lauren Home. I practically fell in love with every one of them. I'd love to have an old chair reworked with these wonderful patterns. Maybe a full sofa!

Besides, I thought they went with the pictures of my dress. ("I thought" is the key words here people.)
