Paper Dreams

This is the first, and maybe last time, I use color pencils to draw. Even when I was little I remember not liking them. Well anyways, it's not great, but I had to do it.

Some random face I picked from the Spring issue of Vogue.

Following the Beat of My Own Drum

Thankfully Texas weather has stayed relatively "cool," so I've been able to wear jeans once again. In this casual Friday, I wore Express Jeans, Banana Republic button-down, Dirty Laundry shoes, and vintage jewelry.

Of course, after taking these shots I immediately changed afterwards, since I got so hot! But I had a lot of fun trying to get a good 'jump.' My mother, bless her heart, has too much patience for my side projects.

On my way down from one of the jumps, my hand was stabbed by the stick you can barely see sticking out behind my back. It peeled my skin off but didn't prevent me from staying on track lol.

Coco will have surgery next friday, so I'll be suffocating her with kisses and hugs till then.

The Sky, my only witness

I took these pictures the other day. I love them, but at the same time it's kind of sad. I wish these birds had a more peaceful home.

This one was from when the moon was the closest to Earth since 18 yrs ago - or something like that. Excuse the quality, I don't have a professional camera :(

Deep Ellum, Dallas

Last day of Spring break, I went to eat at one of my favorite Mexican places: Pepe and Mito's. The drive to Deep Ellum just for this place is completely worth it. Their "Tacos Nortenos" are so good! I wish I could bottle up their chipotle wine sauce.

Since the weather is drastically changing to boiling degrees, this is probably the last time I'll be able to wear jeans before the autumn.

Wearing Express Jeans, vintage Levi's silk button-down, and vintage jewelry.

This building is not in Deep Ellum, but it's one of my favorites in Dallas.

"Landslide"

Having one of the crappiest Spring Breaks of all time, I've been listening to this song nonstop, especially since it was performed on Glee (whose portrayal of Rachel Berry brings out the high school girl in me to the point of abnormal relatability).

I think the lyrics below are a combination of the Stevie Nicks version and the Dixie Chicks version. And the video is Stevie Nicks.

"Landslide"

Took my love and I took it down
Climbed a mountain and I turned around
And I saw my reflection in the snow covered hills
till the landslide brought me down

Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love?
Can the child within my heart rise above?
Can I sail through the changing ocean tides?
Can I handle the seasons of my life?

I don't know, I don't know

Well, I've been afraid of changin'
'Cause I've built my life around you
But time makes you bolder, children get older
I'm getting older too

I've been afraid of changin'
'Cause I've built my life around you
But time makes you bolder, children get older
I'm getting older too, yes, I'm getting older too

So take this love and take it down
if you climb a mountain and you turn around
if you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well, the landslide will bring you down, down

And if you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well maybe, well maybe, well maybe
The landslide will bring you down

My New Shoes

I saw them, tried them on, and bought them. Didn't take longer than 5 min.

We were meant to be.
