The September Issue

Since I've been sick, I haven't posted much, but it's been so long I decided to do a quick review of the September Issue which I miracously watched before my head decided to crap out.

I happened to go on my bday (9/19) and I have to say if there was ever the desire in me to work for a magazine, specially Vogue, now it's even greater. It was obvious that the documentary was aimed at bringing Anna Wintour and Grace Coddington's relationship to the air, but I really could care less. I only paid attention to the beautiful photoshoots Grace put together. It's only so sad to see that Anna almost disregards the talent. Of course, she does praise Grace's talent at the end of the movie, but we can see that she almost doesn't care either way. She runs the magazine and that's it. She makes the shots.

Now more than ever I wish I had that life, even as a writer which is what I think I could be better at. But to work there and live in that sea of clothes and shoes... I really liked the documentary. Only I am sad to realize just how much harder it is to break into the industry. Dang, there goes the dream....

Vogue Journal

SO a couple of weeks ago, I participated in a chat forum that vogue held and in appreciation of my time, they sent me this cool journal. Although I've very tempted to fill it with words, I am an English major, I think I'll try to do sketches or collages. Idk yet, we'll see...

It's been too gloomy here in TX, but it allowed me to bust out the leggins and these shoes...

They're totally comfortable.

Note to self: Must buy new bottle of blue nail polish - almost out.

Bob Dylan | Girl From The North Country

Bob Dylan | Girl From The North Country: "Girl From The North Country"
Well, if you're travelin' in the north country fair,
Where the winds hit heavy on the borderline,
Remember me to one who lives there.
She once was a true love of mine.
Well, if you go when the snowflakes storm,
When the rivers freeze and summer ends,
Please see if she's wearing a coat so warm,
To keep her from the howlin' winds.
Please see for me if her hair hangs long,
If it rolls and flows all down her breast.
Please see for me if her hair hangs long,
That's the way I remember her best.
I'm a-wonderin' if she remembers me at all.
Many times I've often prayed
In the darkness of my night,
In the brightness of my day.
So if you're travelin' in the north country fair,
Where the winds hit heavy on the borderline,
Remember me to one who lives there.
She once was a true love of mine."

While in class yesterday, my teacher played this song and I loved it. I don't know much about Bob Dylan, hence the fact I'm taking a class on his writing. But from all the songs I listened to yesterday, I can truly say that I already think he's good. His early recordings are hard to understand and his singing sometimes doesn't follow the typical structure I'm used to, but I definitely will continue listening to his songs.

Fasten your Bras

I just saw this on Style Bubble and I think it's quite hilarious. Really to even think of children dragging along a gigantic bra and wondering maybe how to make a tent out of it? I'd take a nap in it. Besides who doesn't know that bras or boobs are very good for nestling.

Free Licks and Bites too

This is Coco, my super hyper dog. I'm surprised we got her on this pics. She's always squirming trying to get away.

I totally put on some weight and I hate how fat my face looks... hopefully I will get on losing a couple of pounds. I probably should get rid of the stash of chocolate I have in my room...
