Daniel Vosovic’s Spring Collection

I'll be honest, I think Daniel should've won instead of Chloe. But the judges made their decisions - that collection was a little short from cohesiveness -, and here he is several years later showing us all why he was meant to work in the industry. I love the pieces and would wear all of them.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen

I think I've read about the Olsen twins New York Times story at every other blog already, and although they all have touched on the fact that the tiny twins are very successful, few have touched on how very lucky they are. I don't even mean the kind of luck that allowed them to land the role of Michelle Tanner on Full house or the company that captured them growing up through many movies. I am talking about the luck they have to have the money to discover who they want to be and how they want to be. At the present time there's plenty of things I'd like to do: go to fashion design classes, drawing classes, travel to Thailand and Vietname, buy shoes more expensive than my mortgage payment. But I can't for a very small thing that seems to disappear from me: money. SO I think above all things, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are lucky to have the opportunity to just wake up one day and truly follow what their dreams are calling.

Blast from the Past

I just stumbled upon this picture from The Sartorialist. It was just too adorable to not share.

Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt

If you're not in love with this woman, there's something wrong with you.

Zooey Deschanel

I am in love... with Zooey Deschanel. I've had a crush on her since I saw her on Failure to Launch as the psycho roomate, but 500 Days of Summer solidified my love for her. Despite liking men since I was 5, Zooey has been my biggest girl crush and when I saw this ad I totally loved it. She just has that easy, down-to-earth vibe and yet manages to keep you intrigued to see way beyond the pretty dressed and the quirky smiles.

I just found this pic on and I totally loved it. The flowy fabric and the print just make it perfect. As if going down the street and meeting someone and having them wondering just how the hell you look so perfect. It's casual and business, all in one.

Lara Stone - Vogue Paris

I love this picture. I love the parted in the middle hair - which I could never pull off myself - and the rosy lips that are screaming for a soft kiss. Maybe it's awesome because it's a look I'd never accomplish myself...

The Ruins of Detroit

All of these images are taken from Yves Marchand and Romain Meffre photography. The images are incredible, but sad. The decaying of the city only reflects the feelings of the people that have left and those who still remain their opinion.

(500) Days of Summer

I fell in love with this movie. The truth is love isn't easy nor understandable. And the story line is one we all have lived to one degree or another. I loved it! Completely buying it when it comes out.

Cake Boss

Cake Boss is awesome.

I have no more words to describe this show on TLC. I Tivo it since I never really know when I'll be home. The show about a bakery that makes amazing specialty cakes finally reached a whole new level for me. The show was about three cakes made for a photo shoot for Brides Magazine. The cake was so beautiful that I honestly want one of those cakes to be my wedding cake. The fun part is that this is the only the second time I actually see a full wedding cake done on the show - typically is fire trucks, birthdays, and special orders. I freaking love it.

Peep-toe Booties

I tried a new sushi place last night, and I totally loved it. I had to go once, my friend who lives five minutes away recommended it, but the dine in was so much better. It was also the perfect occasion to wear my new pair of shoes- which I'm totally in love with.

These shoes are totally walkable, which I was hesistant of when I bought them. but right now they are my favorite pair.

Oh yeah and I forgot my camera, so I took the pics with my phone and they're totally crappy. I know.

Anna Wintour's New York prints

These are supposed to be early spreads from Anna Wintour while she worked in New York before jumping to Vogue. In her unathorized biography, Wintour's work is described as cutting edge and well ahead of trends. These spreads, although fabulous in their own right given the time published, leave me wondering more about Wintour's work. It is known that working with her might not be so easy, but I wonder what happened when she was just another one of the bunch. The biography was enlightening and I'm just wishing I could see more.

I do have to say that as the 80s are making a comeback, I find myself wanting to wear some of the pieces on these spreads. My favorite is the last picture. I love the dress.
